Search for permits and development applications from 1993 to the present using the following criteria:

Address
Find county permits and development applications by using address information. A search can be carried out by entering the complete house number or just the street name. When searching by street name, a search can be carried out using a complete or partial street name; for example, Wadsworth or Wads. Using a complete address (that is, house number and street name) is not necessary but speeds up the search. Also, it is always best to use a house number whenever possible to reduce the number of results returned by the search.

Permit Number
Permits and development applications for Jefferson County can be searched by permit number. It is possible to carry out a search using only a portion of the permit number providing that all mandatory fields are completed. More detail about this particular search can be found on the Search by Permit Number page.

Permit Type
The county issues a variety of different permits. Building Permits, Defensible Space Permits, Telecommunication Permits, and Sign Permits are examples of the types of permits issued. To view a complete list of permit types please refer to the list box located on the Search by Permit Type page. This search can be limited by the status of the permit; for example, All, Opened or Closed.

Contractor Name
Another option for searching county permits and development applications is by contractor name. This search can be carried out using the complete name of the contractor or just a portion of the name; for example, Melody Homes or Melody.

Development-Application
The county takes in a variety of different development applications. Rezoning Applications, Final Plat Applications, Special Use Applications, and Minor Amendment Applications are examples of the types of development applications taken in. This search can be limited by the status of the development application; for example, All, Opened or Closed.

Permit Issuance Report
This report will list details of the Building Permits, Electrical Permits, Mechanical Permits, Plumbing Permits, or Re-Roofing & Siding Permits issued by Jefferson County for a specified period of time.

BP Issuance By Fire Dist
This report will list details of the Building Permits issued by Jefferson County for a specified period of time and for a specified Fire District.

Permits Issued
This report will list the number of permits issued by Jefferson County for a specified period of time. The report provides a grand total of all Building and Public Health permits issued during the selected time period as well as subtotals for each type of permit (for example, Building Permits, Plumbing Permits).

Permits/Applications
This report provides a summary of Planning & Development Permits and Applications taken in for a specified period of time. The report provides a grand total of all Planning & Development permits taken in during the selected time period as well as subtotals for each type of permit (for example, Miscellaneous Permits, Grading Permits).

Elevation Certificates
Find Elevation Certificates maintained by Jefferson County Planning and Zoning by using address information. A search can be carried out by entering the house number and/or the street name. When searching by street name, a search can be carried out using a complete or partial street name; for example, Wadsworth or Wads. Searching by house number and street name speeds up the search. Also, it is always best to use a house number whenever possible to reduce the number of results returned by the search.
