Common Name: SUBALPINE ARNICA

Scientific Name: Arnica longifolia
Key Characteristics: phyllaries (bracts - small leaf-like structures - below composite heads) sharply acute (terminating in a sharp point), the tip not more hairy than the body; tube of disk-flowers 2-3 mm long.
Flower Color: yellow
Leaf Type: simple (not divided into similar parts).
Habitat: talus slopes.
