Jefferson County H1N1 Immunization Clinic a Success
Jefferson County Public Health held the first of its series of school-located H1N1 influenza immunization clinics Saturday, November 21, 2009. The JCPH clinics were held at five different Jeffco School sites in partnership with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), along with hundreds of community volunteers, and provided free H1N1 flu shots for Jefferson County residents who meet the priority group criteria for receiving H1N1 flu vaccine. “We are very pleased to have successfully immunized a total of 5,514 individuals.” said Jody Erwin, JCPH Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. "With the clinic this last Saturday, the amount of vaccinations that we have distributed to our community now totals 61,594."
