Adult Protection Supervisor Rena Kuberski to Take Over Duties

Rena Kuberski, currently the adult protection supervisor with Aging & Adult Services, will assume Hitpas’ duties on January 1, 2010, as the new Aging & Adult Manager.
Hitpas began with the county in 1988 when Social Services was a state agency. All Social Services employees became county employees in 1998.
Hitpas worked as a child protection case worker and later moved into the Adult Protection area as a case manager supervisor. In 2005, he was promoted to aging & adult manager. Hitpas is active on several area boards that deal with aging issues and is widely regarded as an expert in his field.

She started as a caseworker for Social Services in 1977, and has been involved in Adult Protection since August 1985. She was a caseworker and lead worker for 20 years and was promoted to supervisor in 2005. Kuberski continues to carry a small caseload and does intakes to keep her skills fresh. She sits on many committees to try to improve services for at-risk adults in the state.
